For many a year, Troy has been on the set for film and television series as part of the EPK and behind the scenes crew. He's pitched and executed concepts to all the major studios, been in the field conducting interviews and directing crews, and worked in the bay to create several behind the scenes documentaries featured on DVD and Blu-ray releases. If you've ever watched "the making of" some of your favorite films, there's a good chance that crazy kid Troy may have been involved! Here's just a small sampling of the work that he's done...
Ghostbusters Afterlife
Fulfilling a childhood-dream, Troy was trusted as the lone one-man band behind the scenes documentary crew to cover pre-production of Jason Reitman’s new film. From the building of Proton Packs and a new Ecto-1, to creating new iterations of Proton Packs and Ghost Traps, Troy was there to document every step of the process.
Star Wars Pet Makeovers
What happens when Star Wars fans and their pets are surprised with a tailor-made costume fitting with a stylist and a professional photoshoot against an iconic Star Wars backdrop? Cuteness. Pure cuteness. This five-episode digital series was directed and produced by Troy for the Disney Digital Network
Deadpool
Junkyards, creepy abandoned mental hospitals, underground tunnels, Troy was there for all of the luxurious locations Deadpool hit in Vancouver. The highest praise he's ever received came from his DVD/Blu-ray bonus features proposal: "We don't get it, can you take out all the jokes?"
Gravity
For the re-release of Gravity in WB's prestigious "Diamond Luxe Edition" packaging, Troy worked with Adam Vadnais and Abby Lance on a feature documentary entitled "Looking to the Stars: The Evolution of Space Films." Executive produced by Alfonso Cuaron, the documentary featured legends of sci-fi and space filmmaking including Dennis Muren, John Dykstra, Douglas Trumbull, Ron Howard, Joe Dante and more to discuss the evolution of how space and space travel have been depicted on celluloid.
X-Men Apocalypse
How does Bryan Singer get so much done in a day on these Giant-Sized X-Men films? This featurette showed us. For a CinemaCon tease, Troy worked with a crew in Montreal to show Director Bryan Singer juggling multiple units on multiple stages thanks to his super-human ability: moving at the speed of Quicksilver. Using a Phantom Flex camera to film, the crew shot Singer moving at an incredible rate around nearly frozen crew members.
Halo Nightfall
Troy spent two months in Belfast, Ireland helping chronicle Microsoft's next venture into Halo live-action storytelling with Nightfall. In addition to conducting interviews and directing the field EPK crew, Troy assisted in stills photography shooting used for the film's key art and publicity campaign.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season One
The Marvel Cinematic Universe took its first steps into television and Troy was there from day one, chronicling the making of a Marvel television series. In addition to all of the Season One DVD/Blu-ray behind the scenes features, Troy also produced the interactive menus as well as featurettes that were released throughout the first season to tie-in with big events.
Oblivion
Joseph Kosinski's follow-up to Tron Legacy was a beautifully designed Oblivion. Taking countless hours of amazing footage, Troy bay produced the feature-length making of documentary, "Promise of a New World: The Making of Oblivion."
